Top 10: Uses Of AI In Data Centres

We explore how AI in the data centre sector is transforming data facilities, from revolutionising operations to enhancing security and more

The integration of AI in data centres is revolutionising how facilities operate, from providing unprecedented efficiency to maximising security and transforming scalability. AI technologies are stepping in as a vital solution for data centre operators, in streamlining operations and transforming various aspects of data centre management. AI's role in data centres is having an enormous impactful, with the potential still growing.

10. Training & development

According to research by digital infrastructure company Equinix, 62% of global IT decision-makers view a shortage of personnel with IT skills as one of the main threats to their business.

New AI technologies are among the most widely-cited solutions to the current talent crisis. Pioneering talent specialists across the world are utilising AI to help clients achieve a more efficient, supportive and intuitive approach to both onboarding and talent retention.

“In terms of supporting talent, AI can be very effective as a tool supporting augmented reality training scenarios, providing efficient real-time operational analytics and for attracting talent by demonstrating that a business is leveraging new and emerging technologies to provide employees with more interesting and future proof roles,” Mick Lane, the Global Technology Solutions Manager at CBRE.

9. Infrastructure management

In our Top 10 5G Infrastructure Companies we reviewed the leading companies in 5G infrastructure, with a commitment to providing better connectivity for all. Qualcomm has been developing 5G consistently for years. The company’s 5G Advanced services will support new devices, services, spectrum and deployments. It also views 5G and AI as complementary advancing together and mutually benefiting each other in terms of performance and efficiency.

8. Data processing & storage

AI supports data processing and storage for data centres in many ways. AI can continuously monitor system parameters and adjust them to optimise processing performance, which ensures that processing tasks are executed efficiently.

Data can be automatically moved between different storage tiers (such as SSDs, HDDs and cloud storage) based on usage patterns. This ensures that data accessed most frequently is stored on faster, more expensive media, while infrequently accessed data is moved to cheaper, slower media. AI can also analyse and identify redundant data and suggest compression or deduplication techniques to save storage space.

7. Smart cooling

AI and high-performance computing have put increased demand on data centre power. As a result, data centres have had to find ways to keep themselves cool, which has led to the development of smart cooled solutions. To paraphrase Plato, necessity is the mother of invention.

Smart cooling uses AI and machine learning to adjust cooling parameters, unlike traditional air and liquid cooling which rely on predefined settings and manual adjustments.

Smart cooling optimises energy use by predicting conditions and responding to them in real-time. Smart cooling can also adapt to changes in server workload and environmental conditions automatically, while traditional systems are less adaptable.

6. Power management

AI supports power management in data centres through a variety of ways. AI algorithms can allocate computing tasks based on power availability, while also making sure that power usage is balanced across the data centre. AI can also predict power usage and move non-critical tasks to off-peak times, in order to avoid excessive energy consumption and reduce costs. Data on energy consumption patterns can be collected and analysed by AI, providing insights into how power is being used and where efficiencies can be gained.

Energy performance across different parts of the data centre can be compared, identifying areas for improvement and helping set benchmarks for energy efficiency.

5. Predictive maintenance

Predictive maintenance refers to a more preemptive approach to data centre operation by utilising AI technology to predict what needs repairing. According to Deloitte, predictive maintenance is able to increase enterprise productivity by 25%, reduce breakdowns by 70% and lower maintenance costs by 25% - as opposed to reactive maintenance.

“AI needs an enormous amount of data to learn and evolve, so as data centres grow, more data will be available for AI to use,” said Flora Cavinato, Global Service Product Portfolio Director at Vertiv. “Predictive maintenance will naturally scale, which means that the more dense and varied data population there is, the better the data trending, pattern recognition, insight learning and predictions.”

4. Network automation

AI supports network automation in data centres by enhancing efficiency, reliability and performance in a range of ways. AI can automatically configure network settings based on real-time traffic, which ensures optimal network performance and reduces manual intervention. AI-driven systems can support network policies across the data centre, updating configurations automatically to comply with security policies.

AI also allows for automatic scaling of network resources in response as workloads change. This makes sure that the network can handle different levels of traffic, without manual intervention.

3. Resource optimisation

Hyperscale data centres are built by companies with vast data processing and storage needs. These firms may derive their income directly from the applications or websites the equipment supports, or sell technology management services to third parties. As they are significantly larger than enterprise data centres, they are an attractive choice for data centre operators.

Many big hyperscalers are exploring new technologies, such as AI, to further improve their data centre efficiency. For example, Meta is exploring how AI and machine learning can help it to optimise its data centre operations, especially surrounding the construction of a new data centre campus in Singapore, which will be one of the largest in the region.

2. Security

Security is a big factor in every industry, from factory floor to the CEO’s office. The use of AI in data centres strengthens security in several ways:

AI can monitor network traffic and user behaviour to spot anomalies which may suggest a security threat.

AI-powered intrusion detection and prevention systems can identify threats effectively, by adapting to new data of emerging threats.

Following a security incident, AI can automate a response, reducing the time taken to contain threats. This can help to isolate affected systems and block malicious IP addresses.

Within the data centre infrastructure, AI can help to identify vulnerabilities. Machine learning models can suggest which vulnerabilities are most likely to be targeted allowing for immediate action.

Through the automation of security tasks, AI minimises the need for manual intervention, lowers operational costs and allows security teams to put their energy into strategic activities.

1. Sustainability

Data centres which support AI are faced with the challenge of higher computational power, prompting greater changes in facility design, newer cooling technologies and greater innovation in carbon footprint reduction.

As the data centre sector is called upon to confront its sustainability challenges, Data Centre Magazine spoke with Tom Kingham, Design Lead Europe & Japan at CyrusOne. He explained how data centres are starting to evolve into renewable energy developers to confront the energy efficiency challenge, in addition to how facilities are looking to be more flexible - both digitally and environmentally.

According to Tom, data centres should continue to address the unique demands of AI workloads, including the need for ultra-high-density power usage, advanced cooling technologies and scalable designs.

“This has been an ongoing priority for CyrusOne, guiding the design of current and future projects to effectively scale their AI infrastructure,” he said. “Inevitably, we are seeing a stronger focus on sustainability, with innovations reducing physical space requirements and carbon footprints, reflecting a broader trend towards greener data centre operations.”

Data centers are sprouting up as a result of the AI boom, minting fortunes, sucking up energy, and changing rural America

It's less than a year since ChatGPT launched to the public, triggering a boom in artificial intelligence investments, and forever changing our comprehension of the technology.

And while the rise of AI has already changed our digital realities, it's also beginning to impact our physical world, too.

The AI boom has supercharged a wave of spending on data centers. This building boom is sucking up billions of dollars, along with water, land, and energy.

"There's a well-publicized arms race happening in AI, and the major tech companies are expected to invest $1 trillion over the next five years in this area, mostly to data centers," Jonathan Gray, Blackstone's president and chief operating officer, said on an earnings call on July 20.

The data center boom is set to double or triple the amount of energy consumed by these data centers.

By 2030, data centers are expected to reach 35 gigawatts of power consumption annually, up from 17 gigawatts last year, according to McKinsey. A recent Cowen research report estimated that AI data centers could require more than five times the power of traditional facilities.

"It's staggering," said Marc Ganzi, CEO of DigitalBridge, an investment firm that owns and operates data centers, fiber networks, and other tech infrastructure. "Not sure how we do it."

Insider has been covering the data center boom at length. Here, we break down what's going on:

AI is supercharging the data center boom

AI model training is especially energy intensive. It requires the use of graphic processing units. These GPUs are specialized chips that multitask better and work faster than central processing units, or CPUs, which run most traditional cloud services.

AI computer servers being installed in data centers are often equipped with multiple GPUs, usually supplied by Nvidia. Each GPU consumes up to about 400 watts of power, so one AI server can consume 2 kilowatts. A regular cloud server uses 300 to 500 watts, according to Shaolei Ren, a researcher at UC Riverside who has studied how modern AI models use resources.

For instance, the power consumption of Nvidia's new GH200 server cluster is about two to four times more than a regular cluster of the same physical size, he estimated.

Tom Keane, who oversaw Microsoft's cloud data centers for about two decades, recently warned about this. Microsoft is the main backer of OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT and builder of the most powerful AI models around.

"In the case of a training data center, you make that as big as possible, you put as many computers in there as possible and you're running that data center at full utilization all of the time," Keane told Bernstein analyst Mark Moerdler in a recent interview. "That physical data center starts to become more resource intensive. You start to design that AI data center very differently."

Rural America has become a hotbed

On a rolling expanse of rural Ohio land, America's digital future is being sown.

Last year, a partnership between the real estate investors Lincoln Property Company and Harrison Street purchased 190 acres in New Albany, a small city about 20 miles outside of Columbus where the pair plan to begin construction on a 200-megawatt data center by the end of the year.

The project's neighbors include Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Amazon – all of whom have similar plans, or are already underway with major data center projects.

"Our regional message is if you're a major data center developer or customer, we want to talk to you," said Matt McCollister, an executive vice president at One Columbus, a business development group in the region.

The data center industry has long been clustered in a handful of well-established markets, primarily Northern Virginia, Dallas, Phoenix, Silicon Valley, and Chicago. But the emergence of places like New Albany shows how soaring demand and the sector's voracious appetite for energy is increasingly pushing data center developers and users throughout the country.

Artificial intelligence, which requires massive computing power and energy loads, is expected to further this migration – especially as utilities in the industry's core markets have struggled to keep pace with its growth.

Wall Street is betting big

To help it reach $1 trillion in assets, Blackstone has wagered big sums on apartment buildings, warehouses, student housing, and other commercial real estate assets that proved to be shrewd investments.

Now, as borrowing costs rise, property values sink, and a once-soaring real estate market has become perilous, the investment giant is turning to ChatGPT for answers — literally.

Blackstone has been talking up data centers with expectations that the industry will benefit from a boom in artificial intelligence and become a key new area of focus in its $585 billion real estate portfolio.

Two years ago Blackstone funds, including its largest single real estate fund, Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust, known as BREIT, took the data center landlord and developer QTS Realty Trust private in a $10 billion deal that has made QTS the centerpiece of its data center ambitions.

Blackstone executives have said QTS's value has since tripled and that they plan to radically scale it beyond that with $8.5 billion of new data center projects due in the next three years and a $50 billion pipeline of longer-term development.

These complexes are hoovering up huge amounts of energy

Just a few miles from the $5 billion second headquarters that Amazon is raising outside of Washington, DC, the tech giant is in the midst of a far larger, and less conspicuous, building boom.

The company is in the process of developing $87 billion worth of data centers, a push that has already made it the biggest player in the world's largest data center market in northern Virginia. The featureless, warehouse-like structures are easy to miss on the sides of highways or tucked unassumingly amid suburban neighborhoods.

Data centers, including Amazon's, play an increasingly central, but unseen role in modern life, housing the digital infrastructure that powers critical functions such as e-commerce, autonomous vehicles, video streaming, and, now, artificial intelligence.

There is a flipside, however, to their now ubiquitous presence in places like northern Virginia. The facilities consume quantities of power so vast that they have begun to tax entire energy grids and could exacerbate the climate crisis.

Amazon does not disclose how many data centers it occupies, where they are located, or how much electricity they consume. The company's data facilities are tied to its large cloud computing business, Amazon Web Services, which offers software, storage, and other services to legions of customers.

Based on a review of permits that Insider obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, Amazon operates, or is in the process of building or planning, 102 data centers in northern Virginia. Together, the facilities, when they are all up and running, will have emergency generators capable of producing more than 4.6 gigawatts of power. That's almost enough backup electrical capacity to light up all of New York City on an average day.

That's forcing some utilities to delay their shift away from fossil fuels

In Phoenix and the surrounding region, data centers have attracted attention for the noise they blare, the water they guzzle, and the large tracts of land they've consumed.

Now, the prodigious power burned by this fast-growing industry threatens to overwhelm the city's utilities and stymie efforts to remove fossil fuels from the grid even as the climate crisis has flashed increasingly dire signals. This year, the daily high temperature in Phoenix reached or surpassed 110 degrees Fahrenheit for a record 54 days.

"We have about 7,000 megawatts of data center requests currently in our pipeline," Karla Moran, an executive at Salt River Project, one of two major utilities that serve the Phoenix region, told Insider. Moran noted those requests rivaled the size of the utility's entire 11,000 megawatt system.

While all of those power requests are not expected to materialize into actual development, she said the size of the interest was unprecedented. The data center industry's soaring electrical demand has been so significant, it factored into the utility's far-reaching plans, Moran said.

In October, the power company, better known as SRP, approved a significant expansion of its generating capabilities that includes the development of 2,000 megawatts of new methane gas facilities. Those plants will effectively preserve the size of its portfolio of fossil-fuel-fired infrastructure into the next decade and potentially beyond.

Moran said data centers, with their heavy, around-the-clock power use, were "one of the main reasons we look at having a resource like that."

Australia & New Zealand: Test Ground for Techno-Fascism

Mid-20th century fascism was woefully limited in its capacities and reach. The new technocratic-fascism, however, arrives at the new golden dawn of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, ready to extract the population for all the bio-capital information it can.

It is imperative that people learn to tenaciously fight to defend fundamental freedoms like speech and religion, association, privacy, self-defence and refusal of medical treatment.

Particularly in Australia and New Zealand, where the extents of this new technological tyranny are being displayed as a message to the rest of the world.

We are the test dummies.

THE GREAT STRUGGLE

Amidst the socio-economic disruptions caused by COVID-19, the human race is simultaneously also learning to adapt to the newly emerging systems and processes.

This is the battle the world is facing today, in which humanity seems to be facing a concealed devil, to protect the future and ensure the freedom of many societies.

There is a looming uncertainty, distress and fear for life. In fact, much like poison initially spilling from this pandemic also throwing its challenges — in terms of economic slowdown, mass panic and the need to adapt to new business models, to name a few.

Suddenly, everyone is wearing a mask, social distancing is drummed into our heads, stores are all hiding behind plexiglass and there are stations detailing where one must stand. Politicians, doctors and media continue to lie, while stories are outright invented, or bought and paid for.

Over seventy years have passed since the publication of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, and many aspects of this accurate vision — from omnipresent mass surveillance to the creeping influence of Newspeak — became commonplace long before the ‘pandemic’.

In the pacific, scenes almost unimaginable have been unfolding for awhile now, as the state leverages power based on systems that have incrementally been introduced over decades now.

Australia and New Zealand have a history of being compliantto authority in the face of significant national events. Young countries, yet to live through the horrors of totalitarian rule, citizens of both nations have blissfully remained unaware of greater grabs for mass control.

We only need to think of Port Arthur or the Christchurch Mosque events, for example, where millions have disarmed themselves in the face of a strong, state-driven information campaign.

More recently, federal and state governments have passed successive legislative amendments in that threaten fundamental rights to protests, privacy and liberty. From vaccine coercion, to foreign investment takeovers, to overseas wars and more, the pacific is truly engrained into the control web.

Both nations have become submissive to international bodies like the United Nations and the World Health Organisation, which play a leading role in setting normalities for national legislation.

Consolidated media forces have ensured a one-way stream of propaganda is delivered to respective populations, allowing for many of these moves to go unnoticed or under the guise of illusion.

Finally, we have seen the birth of a modern biometric dystopia unfold in recent years, including unwarranted mass surveillance, facial recognition integration in society and much more.

Indeed, the public remained asleep as a system of greater control crept around them, building the blocks that would one day be used to enforce a new era of technological suppression.

If by crisis is a means in which the ruling class achieve their political ends — just think of the famous ‘never let a crisis go to waste’ playbook — then imagine what coronavirus means to the plan.

What a dizzying opportunity for them to achieve massive goals.

COVID-19(84) POLICE STATE

In his landmark 1992 study of democracy, The End of History and the Last Man, political analyst Francis Fukuyama wrote something profound that has stood the test of time:

“The totalitarian state, it was believed, could not only perpetuate itself indefinitely, it could replicate itself throughout the world like a virus.“

Since March, Australia and New Zealand have been subjected to a revolving door of quarantine orders, punishments imposed for violations and the deployment of soldiers to enforce the decrees.

During this mass psychological event, medical martial law has been introduced to enforce the ongoing narrative, underpinned by legislative pieces that suppress fundamental human rights.

Criminalisation of leaving your home, gathering with others and shopping for things the state decides ‘you don’t need’, is a recipe for repression that continues to boil over.

Australia and New Zealand are presently living with all four of the key hallmarks of a police state:

Draconian laws depriving citizens of elementary civil rights.
A mass media supportive of the state’s messaging and deprivation of rights.
Informants and ideological division in the community.
Excessive and unnecessary use of police forces.

We have witnessed an astonishing violation of human liberties, with the kind of restrictions now imposed on the lives of millions of people looking harsh in comparison to 1950s East Berlin.

People will argue that a ‘temporary’ police state has been justified because of the unique threat to life posed by the coronavirus. Some do not believe the data will bear that out. Regardless, let us at least agree the pacific is closer to totalitarianism than ever history — and the world must take note.

The narrative through which such authoritarian control has been established is that of a false sense of nationalism, with anyone who disagrees even slightly with the positions of the government being branded as ‘anti-national’. This is Orwellian double-speak and is used to wage ideological battle.

The coronavirus is a discrete, external challenge to the pacific, and we must all ‘play our part’ to defeat it. We must all unify in a common cause. ‘We are all in this together!’

History has shown liberty can never be taken without the co-support of an unsuspecting population.

It is not that we all have ever believed liberty was guaranteed. Being familiar with the very same history and aware of truths regarding the human condition, many never believed that.

But the ease in which police state tactics have been employed, and the equal ease in which most Australians and New Zealanders have accepted them, has been breathtaking.

Importantly, behind the smoke and the mirrors, we must remember the modern police state is being driven by many technological advancements made over the last two decades.

Capitalising on the existing laws and conditioning they created, the state now uses this digital arsenal to intimidate and attack political opponents, demonstrators and journalists. Not to mention as a sophisticated tool to enforce lockdown measures in neighbourhoods.

New ‘pandemic drones’ hover around public areas and major CBD locations as a reminder of the capabilities and hallmarks of a new-age dystopian state. Sitting alone in a park? Out in a public space without an appropriate reason? The ‘eyes in the sky’ are watching you.

The present surveillance apparatus is merging with a new era of international virus hysteria to create the perfect metamorphosis of its control. The layers are beginning to peel back and predicted visions of a technological control system, found once only in science fiction, is starting to come to life.

This is the ‘ultimate revolution’, as described by Brave New World author, Aldous Huxley.

Today, however, it can also just as easily be referred to as the Fourth-Industrial Revolution (FIR).

After Covid-19, Will We Be Living In A big Brother World?

Technologists have been warning us for years — long before the outbreak late last December of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) — about the sophisticated surveillance technology increasingly applied to our everyday lives, as businesses watch our every move, predict our behaviour, and sell us the products and services we rely upon. While this “surveillance capitalism” has already raised the ire and concern of privacy and civil liberty advocates, the global pandemic is ushering in a far more ominous trend in sacrificing personal privacy, in the name of allowing governments to efficiently conduct contact tracing. This Orwellian transformation is taking place without any real public debate.

While a “Big Brother” dystopia might once have seemed reserved for authoritarian governments — such as China’s, which has used facial recognition technology and the monitoring of individuals’ digital footprints to control, surveil and pacify its Uyghur minorities in Xinjiang — liberal democratic governments are now also deploying digital technologies, such as contact-tracing apps, that are raising valid concerns about civil liberties.

The slippery slope toward making the apps mandatory is just a matter of time. After all, voluntary app download measures will render the app ineffective.

In an effort to get the spread and outbreak of COVID-19 under control, public health authorities and governments worldwide are looking to adopt modern and efficient means of contact tracing, a core disease control measure. The purpose of contact tracing is to find all those who came into contact with an infected person and to either test or isolate those contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. An analog process is labour intensive, both expensive and slow, requiring public health agents to conduct telephone interviews with all individuals who may have been in contact with an infected person; it is also prone to inaccuracy, if individuals cannot recall where they were or who they interacted with over a course of time.

Enter our ubiquitous smartphones, which hold data about our location and are often on our person outside of our homes. One of the most common ways governments deploy digital contact tracing is through a sanctioned app that users download. Many countries started their digital surveillance programs by making contact-tracing app downloads voluntary, noting that people could opt out of downloading them and that their use would be temporary to stem the spread of COVID-19.

To no surprise, a number of autocratic countries, such as China, Iran and Turkey, had made downloading the apps mandatory. While one would expect these manoeuvres by undemocratic polities, India, the world’s largest liberal democracy, has also effectively mandated that citizens download its contact-tracing app, Aarogya Setu, or risk losing their jobs or being arrested or fined. This app has already raised red flags, and India’s legal scholars argue that the app is unconstitutional. There is added concern that this is being deployed under Narendra Modi’s government, powered by an ultranationalist party that has backed cracking down on its once liberal and vibrant media sector for several years and on enforcing a draconian lockdown in Kashmir.

The slippery slope toward making the apps mandatory is just a matter of time. After all, voluntary app download measures will render the app ineffective. As Oxford’s Big Data Institute’s report noted, 80 percent of mobile phone users need to download the app to make it useful — a threshold difficult to achieve when using the app is voluntary. Indeed, Singapore was among the first of countries to try a voluntary download of its app, TraceTogether, but with such low uptake (just 29 percent) the app was rendered useless. Iceland’s Raknin C-19 app has the highest download rate among the voluntary approaches utilized globally, but was only able to get 38 percent of its population to install it.

Increasingly, global use of digital surveillance tools could be mandated on citizens to monitor people’s movements, and this should worry us all. What harm would there be in having our governments know our whereabouts? Surveillance measures can become opaque without independent oversight of an ombudsperson or privacy commissioner. Without adequate controls, they can become invasive, straying into tracking the movements of political activists, critical journalists and political opponents. Ultimately, these apps can become seductive tools that governments will want to keep well beyond the containment of COVID-19.

Consider the case of Moscow, where the mayor’s office has permitted residents to leave their homes, use the streets and pass police checkpoints during a city quarantine if they downloaded a scannable QR code pass onto their smartphones. At first, the mayor’s office noted this pass would be used to allow essential workers to show law enforcement officers that they had permission to break lockdown orders. The Moscow Times soon noted, however, that Putin’s political allies, journalists in friendly state-owned media and employees of rich business tycoons connected to the Kremlin were also being issued these QR passes. Similarly, Saudi Arabia’s Tawakkalna app is being used to authorize people to leave their homes during quarantine and curfews. The creation of different classes of those permitted to leave their homes and those who are not, based on political or loyalty-based factors, is a legitimate concern for civil liberties.

Moreover, questions about where and for how long data is being stored and whether it is being shared with other government agencies, such as law enforcement or intelligence services, need to be publicly debated in healthy liberal democracies.

Consider the case of Israel, a long-time exporter of sophisticated digital surveillance technology to Arab Gulf clients who use the technology to suppress their populations’ civil liberties and political activities. Israel has now allowed its internal security service to use smartphone location data to monitor the movement of citizens and to alert users of their risk of contact with an already infected person. Political activists who support Palestinian rights, those who opposed the autocratic tendencies of the right-wing government of Benjamin Netanyahu, and others who question the mission creep of state authority are among those who fear that data being shared with intelligence services and law enforcement could be used to stifle and silence their opposition to government policies.

Vulnerable communities, who may have been targeted by law enforcement in the past, also fear digital surveillance tools will become permanent, as these tools are cheaper and more efficient in policing areas with restive populations or high crime rates. If outbreaks occur in poorer neighbourhoods, which are more likely to be densely populated, intra-generational and, hence, prone to virus spread, these already vulnerable communities may face additional discrimination, stigmatization or socio-psychological harm.

Vulnerable communities, who may have been targeted by law enforcement in the past, also fear digital surveillance tools will become permanent.

The technology and its applications are not perfect. What happens when the app generates false positives and false negatives? The elderly are the most vulnerable to the disease and their smartphone penetration is lower than the average consumer. How do we ensure that individuals will not use the self-reporting feature to harm others with false reports of infections, for example, a political rival or foreign agent using the app to spoil a political candidate’s rally? Disinformation and the weaponization of information for malicious political and economic gain need to be concerns for those who see a technological solution to the crisis we are in.

Moreover, as technologists note, what happens to all the data collected on citizens? How is data aggregated, stored, destroyed or anonymized? Cryptographers argue that the gold standard is to keep the data stored on the phones rather than send it to government servers. Making these apps open source and having the code scrutinized by technical experts is key. That said, contact-tracing apps are not created equal. More than 300 academics in computer science, privacy studies and cryptography have argued that GPS-enabled technologies are highly inaccurate and susceptible to privacy lapses, and that location data storage held on servers could compromise privacy. While not endorsing contact-tracing apps, they have called for use of Bluetooth-enabled apps. Yet, as of mid-May 2020, of the 47 contact-tracing apps deployed across the globe, 53 percent are GPS-based and only 15 percent are Bluetooth-based; 28 percent of apps utilize both modalities.

Digital contact tracing seems like a smart and advanced technique that could keep us all collectively safe, but a Big Brother world is already under way in states with autocratic leaders. The risk of mission creep in liberal democracies with rising populist tendencies, as in parts of Europe and the United States, is real and urgent. Those who want to defend civil liberties will need to get ready for a public battle, to convince people, who may think sacrificing a bit of liberty is worth being able to leave their homes, that the time to fight for privacy is now; otherwise, we will no longer recognize our societies in a few years’ time.

A Look At The 'Fascist' Agenda Behind The 'Great Reset'

Recently, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) managing director called for a “new Bretton Woods moment.” Meanwhile, the IMF is not the only entity pushing for a “great reset,” as the World Economic Forum (WEF) and other mainstream entities have been promoting the financial reboot propaganda.

The Status Quo Preps for the ‘Great Reset’ Via Intense Propaganda

In 2020 the world moved in lockstep in order to avoid the coronavirus outbreak. The last report concerning the IMF’s call for a “new Bretton Woods moment,” news.Bitcoin.com’s findings discovered some of the “great reset” doctrines. The great reset concept is very similar to George Orwell’s famous dystopian novel 1984, and some believe the subject is a borderline ‘conspiracy theory.’

For instance, a website called greatreset.com has been floating around the web catching people’s attention this year. Additionally, a Youtube video published by the Corbett Report offers a guide to the so-called reboot. The great reset conversation is also quite topical and discussions can be found on many social media avenues like Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook.

Likewise, websites like the greatreset.com have sparked intense speculation about an upcoming financial reset where the global elite forcefully invoke the ‘fourth industrial revolution.’ The coronavirus measures coupled with purported climate change and statist propaganda are considered the primers of this great reset concept.

In fact, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has been promoting the concept for years, and back in November 2016, the WEF tweeted about eight predictions for the year 2030. The WEF 2030 prediction tweet describes a world where, “You’ll own nothing, and you’ll be happy” and the short clip says that everyone will rent everything they need. The prediction quote from the tweet originally stems from a member of Danish parliament, Ida Auken.

Ever since the #greatreset hashtag started trending again this week, people have also been responding to the 2016 WEF tweet. Today, the WEF website and its founder Klaus Schwab are still heavily promoting this idea.

“Do we aim to get back to where we were before, or should we take the opportunity to make society fairer, smarter and greener, and get humanity off the road to climate catastrophe – a ‘great reset’?” one of the WEF’s reboot editorials states.

Moreover, the publication Time Magazine has dedicated a lot of time to get its readers to understand the great reset as well. Time has partnered with the WEF and hosts a whole section towards the reset ideas. Similar to the book and WEF’s stance, Time’s new collection of great reset editorials discuss topics like the coronavirus, climate change, and reimagining capitalism.

The Time articles are also filled with equality boosterism and environmental destruction cues from the progressive left. Oddly enough, one editorial notes that some “segments of society” can’t “make this great leap forward” in regard to the great reset. However, the author says that “governments can rewrite the social contract to provide for as many as possible remains urgent and vital.”

The Elite’s Great Reset Doctrine Is Considered an Advance Toward a New Type of Political Globalism and Fascism

Not everyone is too keen on the great reset concept, and there’s a number of hit pieces against the idea trending on the web. For a case in point, an editorial published by the publication, Winter Oak, calls the new trend Schwab’s “fascist reset.”

“This new fascism is today being advanced in the guise of global governance, biosecurity, the ‘New Normal,’ the ‘New Deal for Nature’ and the ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution,’” explains the Winter Oak article.

The author adds:

The original fascist project, in Italy and Germany, was all about a merger of state and business. While communism envisages the take-over of business and industry by the government, which – theoretically – acts in the interests of the people, fascism was all about using the state to protect and advance the interests of the wealthy elite.

On Twitter, one of the authors of the “HPV Vaccine On Trial,” Eileen Iorio, told her 15,000 followers that the founder of the WEF “wants to take this unprecedented opportunity to ‘Reset’ the world.”

“#TheGreatReset was founded in Davos and you don’t get to vote on it. Climate Change policies will be the cover story. [Time Magazine] LOVES it,” she added.

For quite some time now free-market advocates and Austrian economists have warned about the infectious political globalism spreading throughout the world. Meanwhile, central banks and politicians have been creating money out of thin air and feeding trillions to special interests.

Winter Oak says that Schwab’s agenda is based on his theory dubbed ‘stakeholder capitalism,’ which has a number of extremely fascist elements. In a stakeholder capitalist-based world, the private sector is tightly tethered to the government and “the notion that a firm focuses on meeting the needs of all its stakeholders: customers, employees, partners, the community, and society as a whole.”

The global elite want to drag mankind towards the biggest economic crisis ever seen in history.

This huge economic upheaval will create a massive hole in global demand. At that point, the food supply chain would be disrupted.

Bankruptcies and economic busts will be devastating and unprecedented. Unemployment will reach peaks never before seen and people will have problems getting essential food resources.

This phase anticipates many riots will lead to the total collapse of society.

The next step would be the militarization option. Martial law will be the only way to placate the massive rebellions and riots caused by a pre-planned world famine.

It would be a war scenario, but on a global scale.

The great destabilization would have the characteristics of the catalyzing event mentioned by David Rockefeller in 1995 before the United Nations.

This crisis will be accurately engineered in order to create a disorder which would take mankind to the New World Order.

Once the masses lose their jobs and the minimum essential resources to survive, they will be offered a choice: receive the universal income.

The creator of the Five Stars Movement, Beppe Grillo, has spoken about this subject. The FSM has been the mouthpiece of one of the main goals of the globalist circles such as the Club of Rome and the Bilderberg Group.

Globalism wants to drag mankind towards a complete deindustrialization and to the end of work, as it was known in the capitalistic economies.

The end of work would basically deprive the individuals of their independence. Only those who will accept the universal pittance would be in the conditions to survive.

The masses flooded by private debts will be asked to renounce their personal belongings in order to receive this basic income. The end of private property will be one of the ultimate goals.

In the global dictatorship, a collectivist society would arise in which the idea of personal property will no longer exist.

If the masses refuse the universal income and the mandatory vaccine that should be distributed in the summer of 2021, they will be forced to stay in the quarantine camps until they will come to globalist terms.

The true nature of globalism as a satanic transhumanistic ideology

It is the final exteriorization of the globalist ideology in which there is no place for free will. There is only total submission.

The true nature of this philosophy is indeed satanic.

This plan has the stated objective to destroy mankind and to reduce us to “cattle” with no rights and devoid of any spiritual sense.

It is the antithesis of Christian religion which sees man as a being gifted of free will and spiritual sense that leads him to reject the blind obedience to evil represented in this case by the global totalitarianism.

The representatives of the global elites are openly speaking of this plan.

Klaus Schwab, a Davos member, has recently mentioned the Great Reset as a “fourth industrial revolution” able to reach total mind control through a microchip brain implant.

It may seem science fiction, but the system already disposes of this technology. In a recent report presented on Italian public TV, a video was shown where a microchip was implanted in the brain of a pig.

Through this technology, it is possible to manipulate the will of the animal. This is what the New World Order has in mind, but men would be in the pig’s shoes.

Freemasonry sees mankind as a mass of “useless eaters.”

It is an ideology that deeply despises mankind and wants to enslave it.

The Great Reset has this sole purpose, namely to pave the way to the last phase of the NWO.

Technology would deprive man of his identity and will render him as a hybrid between a machine and a human being.

It is this transhumanist philosophy, which is deeply intertwined to Satanic and esoteric ideology, which aims to destroy the original creation of God.

Now the plan has been completely shown to us in open sight. There is no “conspiracy”. What was bravely stated by some independent journalists and researchers some decades ago is taking place now.

The Great Reset could only take place through the direct participation of the US.

If America falls into the hands of corrupt politicians blackmailed by China, the leading globalist power, then the globalist cabal would have no more obstacles.

The world super government will be the inevitable result as the Great Reset which will enslave whole mankind.

Now Is The Time For A 'Great Reset'

The New World Order

One Possibility!

In regards to the current economic situation, because of last year's global recession and also the recent economic slowdown, a catastrophic global economic crisis has occurred.

After the stock market crashed, all of the financial markets were closed for two weeks. Many people were in a state of shock!

Hyperinflation, already a major concern in Latin America had begun to affect other economies as well. Because of these concerns regarding hyperinflation and the stock market crash there was total chaos, globally! Everyone panicked so much that there was a run on the banks so all of the banks were forced to close. Some have since reopened. The media and the press had 24/7 coverage of all of this on every tv channel.

Some businesses were forced by the government to temporarily close their doors during which time government employees examined business records to any companies/corporations they wanted. Also, the internet and all social media sites were shut down so they could start a new internet service with only government sanctioned streaming news programs. The reason they said was that it was a necessary evil and we had to accept it.

Now they're telling us on the daily news reports that some sort of global restructuring is going on behind the scenes involving all of the world's financial markets, economic blocks, and that everything will be okay. The other day we heard they would be implementing a new global cashless system any day now and when this happens we will no longer be able to use cash. Biometric and rfid systems/alternatives are being installed everywhere. Our hands, fingers and retinas were scanned and recorded for this new biometric system.

Our newly appointed global leader made his first appearance and he somewhat explained our economic situation. Everyone's shocked that all of this has so suddenly come to pass after the recent stock market collapse. It's difficult to believe this is really happening. It's crazy. Everything that the global president says now becomes the law. NWO banners and slogans are showing up everywhere, throughout every neighborhood, street, and city. Massive tv displays are being installed throughout every region and major city. These are easily visible and are currently displaying the daily news reports.

We all agree martial law has become a reality. U.N. troops, the military police, and the local police have been stationed throughout every city. I never imagined anything like this could happen! Biometric and rfid identification systems are an everyday part of life. Everything's gone digital overnight. Those who have resisted this new system and are living off the grid are already facing serious problems going about their daily lives.

Just recently all of the newly implemented economic policies were listed for 24 hours on the news channels for all of us to see concerning the global biometric identification program. To sum it up they stated that it's absolutely mandatory for everyone to get a biometric ID! We all have no choice now but to comply!

A friend of mine and his family had decided not to be included in the biometric program were on their way to go underground and live on one of his relatives properties. While on they're way they were stopped at one of the many law enforcement checkpoints and questioned. Afterward he, his wife and his kids have turned up missing and they haven't been seen or heard from since. I really hope I'll see them again and that they're not in a FEMA Internment Camp!

Living in a global fascist state!

The Great Reset, considered to be the Fourth Industrial Revolution, is a created reform of “technocracy” (also referred to as "sustainable development") that will transform all industry in every facet. It will affect everything from government, energy and finance, to food (our lifeline), healthcare, medicine, real estate – all aspects of life.

The Elite’s Great Reset Doctrine Is Considered an Advance Toward a New Type of Political Globalism and Fascism.

This new fascism is today being advanced in the guise of global governance, biosecurity, the ‘New Normal,’ the ‘New Deal for Nature’ and the ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution'.

The next step would be the militarization option. Martial law will be the only way to placate the massive rebellions and riots caused by a pre-planned world famine.

To achieve a better outcome, the world would act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, would participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, would be transformed. In short, they want a 'Great Reset' of capitalism.

During the COVID-19 crisis or something similar, companies, universities, and others will have joined forces to develop diagnostics, therapeutics, and possible vaccines; established testing centers; created mechanisms for tracing infections; and delivered telemedicine. Imagine what they could accomplish if similar concerted efforts were made in every sector of the world.

The "Great Reset" and its construct presents a wild dystopian future. The coronavirus pandemic or something similar could be used as a means to enslave humanity and end capitalism. The global elite are nefariously plotting to abolish private property and to build prison camps for the dissenters who refuse to accept microchips.

The Great Reset is a hodgepodge of a one-world-government movement that has gained steam. It’s been fed by personalities who are bent on launching said reset to ban religion, crush small businesses, and turn humans into something like robots—or replace them with actual robots.

There is an urgent need for global stakeholders to cooperate in simultaneously managing the direct consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. To improve the state of the world, the World Economic Forum is starting The Great Reset initiative.

COVID-19 lockdowns may be gradually easing, but anxiety about the world’s social and economic prospects is only intensifying. There is good reason to worry: a sharp economic downturn has already begun, and we could be facing the worst depression since the 1930s. But, while this outcome is likely, it is not unavoidable.

To achieve a better outcome, the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed. In short, we need a “Great Reset” of capitalism.

There are many reasons to pursue a Great Reset, but the most urgent is COVID-19. Having already led to hundreds of thousands of deaths, the pandemic represents one of the worst public-health crises in recent history. And, with casualties still mounting in many parts of the world, it is far from over.

This will have serious long-term consequences for economic growth, public debt, employment, and human wellbeing. According to the Financial Times, global government debt has already reached its highest level in peacetime. Moreover, unemployment is skyrocketing in many countries: in the US, for example, one in four workers have filed for unemployment since mid-March, with new weekly claims far above historic highs. The International Monetary Fund expects the world economy to shrink by 3% this year – a downgrade of 6.3 percentage points in just four months.

All of this will exacerbate the climate and social crises that were already underway. Some countries have already used the COVID-19 crisis as an excuse to weaken environmental protections and enforcement. And frustrations over social ills like rising inequality – US billionaires’ combined wealth has increased during the crisis – are intensifying.

Left unaddressed, these crises, together with COVID-19, will deepen and leave the world even less sustainable, less equal, and more fragile. Incremental measures and ad hoc fixes will not suffice to prevent this scenario. We must build entirely new foundations for our economic and social systems.

The level of cooperation and ambition this implies is unprecedented. But it is not some impossible dream. In fact, one silver lining of the pandemic is that it has shown how quickly we can make radical changes to our lifestyles. Almost instantly, the crisis forced businesses and individuals to abandon practices long claimed to be essential, from frequent air travel to working in an office.

Likewise, populations have overwhelmingly shown a willingness to make sacrifices for the sake of health-care and other essential workers and vulnerable populations, such as the elderly. And many companies have stepped up to support their workers, customers, and local communities, in a shift toward the kind of stakeholder capitalism to which they had previously paid lip service.

Clearly, the will to build a better society does exist. We must use it to secure the Great Reset that we so badly need. That will require stronger and more effective governments, though this does not imply an ideological push for bigger ones. And it will demand private-sector engagement every step of the way.

The Great Reset agenda would have three main components. The first would steer the market toward fairer outcomes. To this end, governments should improve coordination (for example, in tax, regulatory, and fiscal policy), upgrade trade arrangements, and create the conditions for a “stakeholder economy.” At a time of diminishing tax bases and soaring public debt, governments have a powerful incentive to pursue such action.

Moreover, governments should implement long-overdue reforms that promote more equitable outcomes. Depending on the country, these may include changes to wealth taxes, the withdrawal of fossil-fuel subsidies, and new rules governing intellectual property, trade, and competition.

The second component of a Great Reset agenda would ensure that investments advance shared goals, such as equality and sustainability. Here, the large-scale spending programs that many governments are implementing represent a major opportunity for progress. The European Commission, for one, has unveiled plans for a €750 billion ($826 billion) recovery fund. The US, China, and Japan also have ambitious economic-stimulus plans.

Rather than using these funds, as well as investments from private entities and pension funds, to fill cracks in the old system, we should use them to create a new one that is more resilient, equitable, and sustainable in the long run. This means, for example, building “green” urban infrastructure and creating incentives for industries to improve their track record on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics.

The third and final priority of a Great Reset agenda is to harness the innovations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to support the public good, especially by addressing health and social challenges. During the COVID-19 crisis, companies, universities, and others have joined forces to develop diagnostics, therapeutics, and possible vaccines; establish testing centers; create mechanisms for tracing infections; and deliver telemedicine. Imagine what could be possible if similar concerted efforts were made in every sector.

The COVID-19 crisis is affecting every facet of people’s lives in every corner of the world. But tragedy need not be its only legacy. On the contrary, the pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world to create a healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous future.

The government’s reaction to Covid-19 created a different world and the global economy has seen better days.

The editorial is the subject of Klaus Schwab’s book called: “Covid-19: The Great Reset.” The book describes how the virus disrupted both economic and social infrastructure and “what changes will be needed to create a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable world going forward.”

The Georgia Guidestones

On one of the highest hilltops in Elbert County, Georgia stands a huge granite monument. Engraved in eight different languages on the four giant stones that support the common capstone are 10 Guides, or commandments. That monument is alternately referred to as The Georgia Guidestones, or the American Stonehenge. Though relatively unknown to most people, it is an important link to the Occult Hierarchy that dominates the world in which we live.

The origin of that strange monument is shrouded in mystery because no one knows the true identity of the man, or men, who commissioned its construction. All that is known for certain is that in June 1979, a well-dressed, articulate stranger visited the office of the Elberton Granite Finishing Company and announced that he wanted to build an edifice to transmit a message to mankind. He identified himself as R. C. Christian, but it soon became apparent that was not his real name. He said that he represented a group of men who wanted to offer direction to humanity, but to date, almost two decades later, no one knows who R. C. Christian really was, or the names of those he represented. Several things are apparent. The messages engraved on the Georgia Guidestones deal with four major fields: (1) Governance and the establishment of a world government, (2) Population and reproduction control, (3) The environment and man's relationship to nature, and (4) Spirituality.
In the public library in Elberton, I found a book written by the man who called himself R.C. Christian. I discovered that the monument he commissioned had been erected in recognition of Thomas Paine and the occult philosophy he espoused. Indeed, the Georgia Guidestones are used for occult ceremonies and mystic celebrations to this very day. Tragically, only one religious leader in the area had the courage to speak out against the American Stonehenge, and he has recently relocated his ministry.
THE MESSAGE OF THE GEORGIA GUIDESTONES
1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
10.Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

Limiting the population of the earth to 500 million will require the extermination of nine-tenths of the world's people. The American Stonehenge's reference to establishing a world court foreshadows the current move to create an International Criminal Court and a world government. The Guidestones' emphasis on preserving nature anticipates the environmental movement of the 1990s, and the reference to "seeking harmony with the infinite" reflects the current effort to replace Judeo-Christian beliefs with a new spirituality.
The message of the American Stonehenge also foreshadowed the current drive for Sustainable Development. Any time you hear the phrase "Sustainable Development" used, you should substitute the term "socialism" to be able to understand what is intended. Later in this syllabus you will read the full text of the Earth Charter which was compiled under the direction of Mikhail Gorbachev and Maurice Strong. In that document you will find an emphasis on the same basic issues: control of reproduction, world governance, the importance of nature and the environment, and a new spirituality. The similarity between the ideas engraved on the Georgia Guidestones and those espoused in the Earth Charter reflect the common origins of both.
Yoko Ono, the widow of John Lennon, was recently quoted as referring to the American Stonehenge, saying:
"I want people to know about the stones ... We're headed toward a world where we might blow ourselves up and maybe the globe will not exist ... it's a nice time to reaffirm ourselves, knowing all the beautiful things that are in this country and the Georgia Stones symbolize that. " (1)
What is the true significance of the American Stonehenge, and why is its covert message important? Because it confirms the fact that there was a covert group intent on
(1) Dramatically reducing the population of the world.
(2) Promoting environmentalism.
(3) Establishing a world government.
(4) Promoting a new spirituality.

Certainly the group that commissioned the Georgia Guidestones is one of many similar groups working together toward a New World Order, a new world economic system, and a new world spirituality. Behind those groups, however, are dark spiritual forces. Without understanding the nature of those dark forces it is impossible to understand the unfolding of world events.
The fact that most Americans have never heard of the Georgia Guidestones or their message to humanity reflects the degree of control that exists today over what the American people think. We ignore that message at our peril.

The Age of Reason was a book written by Thomas Paine. Its intent was to destroy the Judeo-Christian beliefs upon which our Republic was founded.

The hole that you see in the stone was drilled in the Center Stone so that the North Star could be visualized through it at any moment. This was one of several requirements stipulated by R.C.Christian for the building of the American Stonehenge and reflects his obsession with the alignment of the stars, the sun, and the moon. Occultists often worship the alignment and movement of heavenly bodies as part of their religious ceremonies

American Stonehenge: Monumental Instructions for the Post-Apocalypse
By Randall Sullivan  04.20.09
The Georgia Guidestones may be the most enigmatic monument in the US: huge slabs of granite, inscribed with directions for rebuilding civilization after the apocalypse. Only one man knows who created them—and he's not talking.

Photo: Dan Winters
The Georgia Guidestones Guidebook
The strangest monument in America looms over a barren knoll in northeastern Georgia. Five massive slabs of polished granite rise out of the earth in a star pattern. The rocks are each 16 feet tall, with four of them weighing more than 20 tons apiece. Together they support a 25,000-pound capstone. Approaching the edifice, it's hard not to think immediately of England's Stonehenge or possibly the ominous monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Built in 1980, these pale gray rocks are quietly awaiting the end of the world as we know it.

Called the Georgia Guidestones, the monument is a mystery—nobody knows exactly who commissioned it or why. The only clues to its origin are on a nearby plaque on the ground—which gives the dimensions and explains a series of intricate notches and holes that correspond to the movements of the sun and stars—and the "guides" themselves, directives carved into the rocks. These instructions appear in eight languages ranging from English to Swahili and reflect a peculiar New Age ideology. Some are vaguely eugenic (guide reproduction wisely—improving fitness and diversity); others prescribe standard-issue hippie mysticism (prize truth—beauty—love—seeking harmony with the infinite).

What's most widely agreed upon—based on the evidence available—is that the Guidestones are meant to instruct the dazed survivors of some impending apocalypse as they attempt to reconstitute civilization. Not everyone is comfortable with this notion. A few days before I visited, the stones had been splattered with polyurethane and spray-painted with graffiti, including slogans like "Death to the new world order." This defacement was the first serious act of vandalism in the Guidestones' history, but it was hardly the first objection to their existence. In fact, for more than three decades this uncanny structure in the heart of the Bible Belt has been generating responses that range from enchantment to horror. Supporters (notable among them Yoko Ono) have praised the messages as a stirring call to rational thinking, akin to Thomas Paine's The Age of Reason. Opponents have attacked them as the Ten Commandments of the Antichrist.

Whoever the anonymous architects of the Guidestones were, they knew what they were doing: The monument is a highly engineered structure that flawlessly tracks the sun. It also manages to engender endless fascination, thanks to a carefully orchestrated aura of mystery. And the stones have attracted plenty of devotees to defend against folks who would like them destroyed. Clearly, whoever had the monument placed here understood one thing very well: People prize what they don't understand at least as much as what they do.

The story of the Georgia Guidestones began on a Friday afternoon in June 1979, when an elegant gray-haired gentleman showed up in Elbert County, made his way to the offices of Elberton Granite Finishing, and introduced himself as Robert C. Christian. He claimed to represent "a small group of loyal Americans" who had been planning the installation of an unusually large and complex stone monument. Christian had come to Elberton—the county seat and the granite capital of the world—because he believed its quarries produced the finest stone on the planet.

Joe Fendley, Elberton Granite's president, nodded absently, distracted by the rush to complete his weekly payroll. But when Christian began to describe the monument he had in mind, Fendley stopped what he was doing. Not only was the man asking for stones larger than any that had been quarried in the county, he also wanted them cut, finished, and assembled into some kind of enormous astronomical instrument.

What in the world would it be for? Fendley asked. Christian explained that the structure he had in mind would serve as a compass, calendar, and clock. It would also need to be engraved with a set of guides written in eight of the world's major languages. And it had to be capable of withstanding the most catastrophic events, so that the shattered remnants of humanity would be able to use those guides to reestablish a better civilization than the one that was about to destroy itself.
